Maggie quick question- do you have smoothies instead of breakfeast or with? I’m so enjoying reading your recipes!

Hi Heidi – I have my smoothie first thing in the morning. It’s much easier for us to digest fruit on an empty stomach. Try doing it for a week and you’ll likely notice the feeling once you go back. I then have something like a wrap or granola later in the morning. Hope that helps! Glad you’re liking my recipes, thanks for reading them. xo

I admit I haven’t checked out the recipes…before I do, are any of them gluten/grain- and dairy-free? I’m just starting out and have what feels like a long list of NOs (gluten, grain, corn, potato, peanut). I’m a pastry chef by trade and I find I’m having to learn to bake all over again :(
Thank you for all the delicious-sounding recipes!! It’s quite an impressive list.

Hi I have been looking at your site now for a few years :0) I was wondering if you have any vegan chipotle sauces … Im allergic to dairy, gluten and eggs and I get this amazing chipotle sauce at a vegan restaurant near me and I am trying to figure out how they make it or what they put in it. Any suggestions? Thanks so much and thanks for making food task great when you have a million allergies. Really means a lot to me :0)

Hi Heidi – I make chipotle sauce by adding chipotles in adobo sauce (I buy them canned) to cashew cream. I usually add a little stevia to sweeten it up a bit. Sooo yummy with sweet potatoes. Can you have cashews?

WOW! I just stumbled across your blog this morning! How awesome! I’m more of a cook, but I’m always looking for things to bake since I have kidos who want me too! ;) We have gluten, dairy, egg and soy allergies (and we are grain free, refined sugar free, and working on corn free) which as you know makes baking more of a challenge… especially if you aren’t prone to do it in the first place! ;) Thanks SO much! I’m SUPER excited about this list of recipes! ;) I’m sharing it with friends too who would LOVE this!

Hi Bethanie – Thank you so much. You are grain-free too! That’s a toughie. I’d love to eliminate more grains but the egg thing makes it hard, and our schools are nut-free! Do you use mostly almond flour then? I’ve found coconut flour really needs eggs. Thanks so much for sharing! Have a great week!
