Friday Finds: Let’s Do Ice Cream Cones (Gluten-Free & Vegan)

It’s been a busy week here in She Let Them Eat Cake land!

One of my most excellent regulars is celebrating a birthday today and she has a gluten-free wish list: chocolate cake, cinnamon bread, pizza crusts, and sandwich bread.

So I’ve been in the kitchen all week long (in between pirate play and preschooler outings).  Thus, a short and sweet (literally) Friday Finds for my faithfuls.  But I’ve included a really cute picture that should melt your heart, if not your ice cream.

So Spring has sprung where we are, and Callum and I just couldn’t resist the temptation this week – gluten-free and vegan ice cream cones!

As soon as we got home from the health food store we made ice cream cone treats.  Okay, these might not be healthy but they’re yummy and we can all eat them!  As you can see, Miss Livvie loved hers!  It was her first ice cream cone experience.

We use So Delicious coconut milk ice cream (yum).  Lately I’ve been hearing about Coconut Bliss ice cream.  Has anyone tried it?  I’d love to get my hands on some to compare.

The verdict?  Neither of my babes finished their cone.  I’ve never been a cone person myself so I can’t blame them.  Just give me more ice cream!  Callum did say he liked the cone but he liked the ice cream more.

What’s nice about Let’s Do Gluten-Free Ice Cream Cones is Liv and Callum can have a treat that other kids are enjoying.  And they don’t taste any different than a gluten-filled cone.

I will definitely keep a stash of these ice cream cones on hand for hot summer play-dates!

Oh, neat find!

(They all kind taste styrofoamy anyhow, right?)

Hi Maggie! Thank you so much for the heads up on those gluten-free vegan ice cream cones. I haven’t seen them yet, but now I’ll be on the lookout for them.

Our whole family loves So Delicious coconut milk ice cream. We used to eat Coconut Bliss, but all agree that So Delicious tastes so much better. Plus, you don’t have to let it sit out on your counter for 10 minutes before you can eat it, like you do with the Coconut Bliss.

Love the adorable ice cream cone photo of Livvie!
