I adore Joy McCarthy and her blog.
Joy’s blog, Joyous Health is well worth visiting. Trust me. Each blog post is a health tip that you can practically implement immediately. And if it’s not a health tip, it’s most likely a recipe that is healthy and easy to make. Does it get any better?
Yes! It does get better.
Joy likes to do video blog posts every now and then. I love this because sometimes I just want a break from reading. Sometimes it’s easier to watch a video blog post with two little ones running around (and seeing Joy’s complexion motivates me to take better care of myself).
Here’s a list of a few of Joy’s tips that I’ve implemented:
- start each day with a glass of lemon water (approximately half a lemon squeezed into a glass of water)
- use coconut oil to make your skin shine (an all-natural and chemical-free skin product)
- eat your greens – Pete and I have finally started putting spinach in our morning smoothies (trust me you can’t even tell when it’s mixed with some frozen fruit)
- eat more raw foods (I try to make a conscious effort to ensure that all of us have raw veggies or fruits with every meal)
So perhaps none of this is new to you? I find sometimes I need a reminder. And in this case, I need someone to remind me. JOY!
