So Pete and I recently moved to Peterborough from the lovely and sunny London. It was a tough move on many levels, but we’re very glad we did it and we haven’t spent too much time looking back. Really, it’s the people we miss. Wonderful neighbours and good friends from my teaching days there. That’s okay, we have Facebook now.
One of the places that we discovered only this past year, was Organic Works Bakery
. A WONDERFUL bakery in London, not far from our lovely old home in Old South. Our favourite things at Organic Works are their delicious gluten-free bread and buns.
Pete (and I) have tried many a bread over the years (blah, cardboard, bland, crumbly, frozen, crap). I have even tried to bake gluten-free bread myself. Not much success there (but I am diving back in any day now).
Organic Works bread is light, moist, tasty, and everything a gluten-sensitive person wants in a bread. Even a wheat lover like myself enjoys their gluten-free breads. I think the buns are the best though, simply because Pete went many years without a tasty hamburger bun. (We’ve all seen the terrible frozen gf ones you can buy, right?… I’d rather use them to prop open a fire door.)
