Homemade Dairy-Free Sour Cream is one of my favourite recipes from the blog. I make it once a week and it is one of our favourite condiments. We use it on everything from potatoes to pizza. You have to try it. People always love it and are surprised when I tell them what is in it and what is not in it.
I thought I would make a video to show you just how easy it is to make a dairy-free sour cream that is both delicious and nutritious. I’ve included a recipe below the video.
Homemade Dairy-Free Sour Cream
1. Soak cashews in water for 2-6 hours (I do mine overnight most of the time). Make sure cashews are covered by at least an inch of water to make room for expansion.
2. Drain, rinse, and strain soaked cashews.
3. Place all ingredients in your blender. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add a tablespoon or two of water if you need to get the mixture moving.
4. Serve immediately or refrigerate in a sealed container for up to 4 days.
