I am excited to share an exciting new e-book with you today. It was created by one of my favorite bloggers, who also happens to be a fellow Canadian! Most of you probably know Leanne from her beautiful, creative and informative blog Healthful Pursuit.
Leanne is a certified holistic nutritionist (she graduated from my school). Her newest book is called Vibrant Life Cleansing Program. It’s much like her blog – full of beautiful pictures, amazing (and simple) recipes, and incredible nutritional tips, resources, and information.
Vibrant Life Cleansing Program is a clear and concise guide to cleansing. Leanne’s book includes ramp up and wind down programs, over 55 smoothie, juice and dairy-free milk recipes, meal plans, and even shopping lists for each cleanse. It’s the most comprehensive cleansing, juicing, and smoothie guide I’ve seen.
Even if you don’t plan on following one of her cleanses, this is a great resource for healthy living and smoothie lovers. Especially for those of you who are new to smoothie making and juicing, Leanne even offers tips for buying a juicer and juicing without a juicer!
I haven’t had a chance to test-run any of the recipes from the book yet (we’ve been on the beach away from the cold and blustery North), but I can’t wait to dive into some of the following recipes:
- Carrot Cake Smoothie
- Apple Streusel Smoothie
- Berry Waffle Cone (hello, who wouldn’t want to try this?)
- Green Lemonade Juice (for my kiddies)
- Diamond in the Rough (featuring juiced pineapple)
- Sangria Sunset (Sangria is one of my fave summertime beverages)
Leanne has agreed to let me share one of the recipes from Vibrant Life Cleansing Program so naturally I chose Cinnamon Toast Smoothie. You guys know how I like my afternoon sweet-smoothie fix!

Makes: 500ml // Serves: 1 // Prep Time: 5 minutes
If you’re feeling really crazy, you can amp up the nutrients by adding 2 cups of spinach or a kale leaf or two. It wont be very cinnamon toast looking, but it’ll taste the same!
1 cup non-dairy milk
10 raw almonds
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 medjool dates, pitted
1 teaspoon coconut oil
2 ice cubes
Add all ingredients to the jug of your high- powered blender in the order they are listed.
Blend on high for 1 minute, or until smooth. Transfer to a glass and serve immediately.
To store: pour into a glass container and keep in the fridge for 1-2 days.
Alternatively, pour into a plastic container and freeze for up to 1 month
If I was ready for a cleanse right now, I would be diving in to this book and trying a 7, 9, or 11 day cleanse. It’s an incredible resource for those of you who are looking to do some internal Spring-cleaning!
And did I forget to mention? Leanne’s running 1 giveaway a week for 8 weeks during the launch of her book. She’s giving away blenders, juicers, dehydrators, and more.
