Months ago I stumbled upon a great blog called Celiac Teen.
The blogger is truly a teenager and she amazes me! I believe that one day she will be famous in some way, shape or form.
A few weeks ago I got an email from Lauren (Celiac Teen) asking if I would like to be a part of an ebook she was doing to raise funds for Haiti. How could I resist? All I had to do was submit a recipe that reminded me of home.
Every Christmas my Mom makes an amazing tourtiere (a fancy beef pie) so I thought it would be cool to do a vegetarian twist on this recipe for the Ebook.
You can find the recipe for my gluten-free and vegan pastry here, and the recipe for the gluten-free and vegan mushroom gravy that MUST go with it (or anything for that matter) here. However, if you want the glorious pot pie filling recipe you’ll have to buy Lauren’s ebook A Hand For Haiti. You can also get the gravy recipe and the pie crust recipe in the ebook.
Click here to buy A Hand For Haiti and get my recipes and many more recipes from the amazing food-loving blogosphere (there are 71 contributors, 87 recipes and 90 pages). It’s only $10 and all of the proceeds will go to the Red Cross. If you buy it by February 12th the Canadian Government will double the proceeds and Lauren’s parents will too!
You must also take some time to check out her blog. She has her own recipes and takes her own amazing photos. You can check out her blog here.
Thank you Lauren! It was truly an honour to be a part of this ebook.
